This training is for individuals who want to pursue employment as an industrial sewist in a manufacturing environment.
Certificate Course
A Certificate of Completion is awarded to students that demonstrate acceptable sewing skills by successfully passing a timed-sewing test. Our testing is based on sewing skills required by local manufacturers for employment.

Things to know:
This training program is for students that want to learn basic INDUSTRIAL sewing so that they have skills local manufacturers are seeking. It is NOT for hobby sewing or fashion sewing training.
Classes are held at the Dayton Sewing Collaborative | 2nd Floor of Goodwill Easter Seals 660 S Main St Dayton OH 45402
Training sessions are 1-week in duration. 5-hours a day for a total of 25 hours of hands-on and classroom training.
Classroom training will be from 10AM - 3PM daily, Monday through Friday. Enter main lobby and ask for Dayton Sewing Collaborative at the desk.
For students that may need more practice time, two additional days of practice are made available after the 1-week training.
Training is FREE for students.

Schedule subject to change. Minimum 4 students required; maximum 10 students per session.
